Congrats to MRPSP Scholar Dr. Winters! Check him out for amazing dental care in the New Albany area.

We are so excited to welcome Dr. Aaron Winters to our Rowan Team!!!
He will be accepting new patients starting next Saturday March 22nd.
Dr. Winters is a dedicated dental professional from Byram, MS. He earned his Biochemistry degree from Alcorn State University in 2020 and completed his dental education at UMMC in May 2024. Currently, he is furthering his expertise through an AEGD residency at UMMC.
During dental school, Aaron held several leadership positions, including Vice President of the local student chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry, Community Service Coordinator for the local SNDA chapter and on the national level on the executive board as the Representative to the NDAF. He also played a pivotal role at the Jackson Free Dental Clinic, serving as Assistant Clinical Director and later as Co-Director his junior and senior year respectively. His dedication to dentistry and community service earned him the Community Preventative Dentistry Award and the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award.
Beyond his professional commitments, Aaron enjoys working out, playing video games, listening to music, watching movies and TV shows, exploring new foods, and spending time with friends and family. He looks forward to serving the New Albany, MS community and building lasting connections with its people.

Congrats to our very own Dr. Mary Catherine Hoover, recipient of the 2025 Early Career Achievement Award! Dr. Hoover is a Rural Dental Scholar and serves as Chair of the Commission that oversees the MRDSP. We’re proud of you!

The School of Dentistry honored two remarkable alumni at its 2025 alumni awards ceremony. Dr. Charles Ramsey and Dr. Mary Catherine Hoover were recognized for their exceptional contributions to dentistry, their communities and their enduring commitment to improving the lives of others.
