The mission of Little Huskies Learning Center is to provide a warm, stimulating and caring foundation for children to play and explore. Our focus is to provide a quality and developmentally appropriate environment which supports children in their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. The philosophy of LHLC: we believe and implement a Humanist and Constructivist approach to keep child-centered l
earning and acknowledge that learners construct their knowledge, rather than just passively taking in information. LHLC utilizes learner-centered approaches and believes children learn best and truly flourish in an encouraging, nourishing, and positive environment. The Core Values of LHLC:
Relationships- We are a relationship-based program that values being developmentally based and
reflects an understanding of attachment theory. Our adults model caring, responsive, thoughtful relationships with children and other adults. Communication- Teachers and parents work in partnership where each supports the other and has an understanding and affection for the child. Care - Care and attention are given to the development of secure, affectionate, attachment relationships and to the expression and understanding of emotional experiences. Play - Play is the cornerstone of how children learn and develop. We believe in allowing the child to drive their learning and explore areas that interest them and in which they find joyful engagement.
