Saturday, October 10th – 4-H Sparks! 🍀
Did you find your spark in 4-H? What was it? Each year, 4-H members find their sparks through project work. 4-H offers a million different ways for youth to explore what they are passionate about. Share your favorite projects or 4-H programs from your time in 4-H!

It’s Haunted Barn time! 👻🍀🎃

Join us for the annual award winning Fright at the Fairgrounds "Haunted Barn" this year! Enjoy a fun night out with friends and family for a fun “spooky season” activity that also supports 4-H, FFA, and Junior Fair programs!

Calling all 4-H’ers! 📢🍀 The Haunted Barn is looking for all kinds of helpers each Saturday for the rest of the month. If you plan on helping scare in the haunted barn, please arrive at the fairgrounds at 7:00 PM and sign in on the sign in sheet. Wear all black clothing if you can and be prepared to stay until around 11:00 PM when the barn closes. There are also lots of other jobs, like ticket taking and popcorn making if you don’t feel like scaring!

The haunted barn is a huge fundraiser for our 4-H, FFA, and junior fair programs. Don’t forget to share it with your friends and family to encourage everyone to come! 👻

Wednesday, October 7th is Hands to Larger Service Day! 🍀
Help 4-H shine a light on all the GOOD that 4-H does! A day to recognize all 4-H’ers who are doing good and making a positive impact by helping their communities and beyond. Do something good for your community this day or share a time you served your community through 4-H. This , celebrate someone who is putting their hands to larger service – another 4-H’er, volunteer, or Educator on Wednesday, October 7th.

This month’s rainfall report was very interesting. The average rainfall in Southern Ohio is typically around 3 inches. For much of the townships, we saw triple to quadruple the amount of rain! Thank you again to those rainfall reporters in each township for providing this data!
