🕊️Jackson Public Schools extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and former colleagues of Dr. William Sellers, Jr., who passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the age of 62.

Dr. Sellers dedicated 19 years of service to Jackson Public Schools, where he served as a social studies teacher at Peeples Junior High and Wingfield High School, a lead teacher and assistant principal at Lanier High School, assistant principal at Forest Hill High School, and principal of Wingfield High School.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sellers demonstrated an unwavering commitment to education, leadership, service, and the success of others. His influence extended across generations of scholars, teachers, and administrators, and he will be remembered for his knowledge, mentorship, genuine care for others, and dedication to his community.
