Last week, students at Ione Junior High School planted an oak tree by their outdoor eating area! The oak tree was donated by the Master Gardeners, and students used worm compost that the 7th-grade science class has been feeding all year with natural leftovers from lunches, science experiments, and shredded paper. Thank you to Ms. Watson for coordinating the transplanting activities!
