For the end of our first quarter, Western Career Prep High School hosted a Mental Health Day for students. The focus of the day was to practice positive coping strategies that can help manage emotions. Several sessions were available for students to choose from, including physical fitness, therapy dogs, smoothies, yoga, a nature walk and an art project. Students were also challenged to turn in their phones for the duration of the sessions, promoting real life connection. We had a fun-filled day together, reminding us that at Career Prep, we are not just a school, we are a family.
