Honoring a Legacy

Today, we remember and honor a dedicated public servant, community leader, and advocate for education. Through his leadership as Jackson City Council President and Mississippi Representative, he worked tirelessly to make a positive impact on the lives of countless citizens and students throughout our community.

His contributions to Jackson Public Schools and his commitment to ensuring opportunities for future generations will not be forgotten. His legacy will continue to live on through the students, families, and communities he served with passion and purpose. A supporter of Clausell Elementary and father to our very own Kidada Brown, we are grateful for all the unselfish contributions thanks to Rep. Bo Brown and his family.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. Thank you for a lifetime of service and for helping shape a brighter future for the children of Jackson.

🕊️ Jackson Public Schools mourns the passing of State Representative and former City Councilman William “Bo” Brown.

Mr. Brown was a longtime supporter and advocate for Jackson Public Schools, and his commitment to Jackson scholars and families was felt across our district for many years. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who were impacted by his service. His legacy of public service and support for education will not be forgotten.

What a way to close out an incredible school year! 🍽️

Today’s staff luncheon was all about celebrating the hard work, dedication, laughter, teamwork, and love that filled our building all year long.

This year wasn’t always easy, but together we made memories, overcame challenges, and created a school culture our students deserve. Clausell is special because of the people inside of it. 💚 💛

Nothing says end-of-year fun like putting a pie in the faces of the teachers and principal! 🥧😂 Our scholars had a blast one pie at a time. The smiles, laughter, and sweet memories made this the perfect way to close out an amazing school year! ☀️🎉 💚💛🐾

Yesterday for Day, our incredible United Women in Faith surprised our adopted school, Clausell Elementary School - JPS, with a cupcake for every scholar, faculty, and staff member!

Because celebrating literacy and sweet moments of encouragement matter. We love showing up for our community!

The morning was filled with smiles, meaningful conversations, and shared moments that remind us how powerful family partnerships are in supporting our scholars.
