Cheer camp ended yesterday, and the girls learned so much in such a short amount of time. We are beyond proud of them and can truly say we didn’t leave the same way we came . The experience meant everything for these girls, and they showed growth, determination, teamwork, and heart all week long.

We are excited to celebrate some of their accomplishments from camp:

🏆 Jackson Middle School Cheerleaders placed 3rd in Small Junior High Camp Cheer
💙 The squad received a Blue Excellent Ribbon each night
📣 One ribbon was awarded for their Cheer/Chant Routine
💃 One ribbon was awarded for their Dance Routine
⭐ Taylor and Ma’Kayla were both named All-American Cheerleaders
🤝 Dakota received a Pin It Forward award from a member of the Mary Montgomery squad

So proud of every single girl for representing Jackson Middle School with excellence, confidence, and school spirit. The future is bright! 💙📣

Jackson Middle School is excited to welcome Dr. Jaclyn Stringer as our new principal!

With 24 years of experience in education and leadership, Dr. Stringer has served as a teacher, counselor, career technical administrator, assistant principal, and principal. She is passionate about student success, building positive school culture, and supporting both students and teachers.

“I am honored and humbled to join the Jackson Middle School family,” said Dr. Stringer. “I look forward to partnering with our teachers, students, parents, and community as we work together to build a culture of excellence, growth, and opportunity for every child.”

Thanks to a generous donation from Jackson alumnus Jamaal Pritchett and Walmart, the Aggie Arcade has expanded once again!

This newest addition includes a bowling game for students who continue to Level Up, Show Up, and Do Right. We are thankful for community partners who continue investing in our students and helping us create positive incentives and opportunities at JMS.

JMS students completed Week 2 of our inaugural Smart Greenhouse program. They used Microbits to design smart greenhouse alert systems by training AI cameras to recognize healthy and wilting plants! Special thanks to Rachel and Dr. Zha from Univ of South Alabama!
