🚑 Student Spotlight: Maddie Tupper 🚑

This week’s student spotlight is on Maddie Tupper!

Maddie is an outstanding student with a strong work ethic and a heart for serving others. She is a 68W Combat Medic in the Mississippi Army National Guard with the 2/114th Field Artillery Regiment, where she continues to make a difference both in uniform and in her community. She has been working in EMS for 3 years and brings dedication, discipline, and compassion to everything she does.

Outside of school and EMS, Maddie enjoys running, hiking, kayaking, and camping—anything that gets her outdoors and moving. Her positive attitude and willingness to learn make her a great addition to our paramedic program, and her drive to help others is clear in everything she does.

When asked why she wanted to go to paramedic school, Maddie had this to say:

"I wanted to go to Paramedic school to further my EMS career on the civilian side and to make my Army training and my civilian training be equivalent so I could be better equipped to share my knowledge with my fellow Combat Medic soldiers in my unit."

We are proud to have Maddie in our program and can’t wait to see all the great things she continues to accomplish!

✨ Student Spotlight: Layla Taylor ✨

Meet Layla Taylor! One of our outstanding paramedic students with a personality that keeps the whole class going! Layla is the kind of student who can turn even the toughest scenarios into a moment where everyone is laughing and enjoying the process. Her ability to keep the mood light while still staying focused is something that makes her stand out.

She may come across as a little nonchalant sometimes, but underneath that is a big heart and a genuine desire to do good for others, something you can’t teach in a classroom. That natural compassion and drive to help people is exactly what makes a great paramedic.

When asked why she chose to come to paramedic school, Layla gave us an answer that sounds just like her:

“My moma told me it was either go back to school or get a job and start paying these bills, so I chose school. I just got my own apartment though so now I have school and bills LOL”

We’re proud to have Layla in our program and can’t wait to see where this journey takes her! Keep working hard! We’re cheering you on! 🚑👏

Today was a great Skills Day for our EMT students! We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism each student showed while practicing and testing their hands-on EMS skills. From patient assessments to trauma care and everything in between, our students stepped up and showed how much they’ve learned.

A big shoutout as well to our Dual Enrollment EMT students from Clinton High School! They joined in today and did an outstanding job. It’s always exciting to see future EMS professionals getting an early start and rising to the challenge.

We are proud of every student and the effort they continue to put into becoming the next generation of EMS providers. Keep up the great work! We see the progress, and it shows!
