In my best Mariah Carey voice, “They’re here!!!” Got myself some watercolor and brush goodies to ring in the New Year from I’m so in love with the color palette from the Sakura Koi watercolors. Oh, and I treated myself to three Windsor and Newton kolinsky brushes for graphic novel work. Here’s to a great 2026!

So I have FINALLY made the decision to take up needle felting painting in the new year. Found a rad independent yarn shop among other things online and in small town Georgia at I wonder if Nashville has such cool little fiber shops? Anyways, I also picked up the Frida Kahlo and Yayoi Kusama dolls for my art classroom. Merry Christmas and a happy new year’s to me! ❤️

Moved to Nashville a few weeks ago and have been loving it! Took a position as an art teacher at a specialized school and have been working hard, but have been enjoying every moment. Taking Tom Hart’s Sequential Artists Workshop this school year to improve my comics, and possibly branch out in that way. Still single (sighs), but always patient for the right guy to come along, but I think he may have gotten lost lol. Making lots of puppets with the theatre dept this year. Just fun stuff in general.

Made a trip out to Huntington, TN this morning amid my moving mayhem to pick up this vintage suitcase from one of my favorite vintage stores in Tennessee . Yes, it’s going to be a part of a puppetry production, and, yes, it may even end up being a miniature puppetry stage. Don’t you worry though, she has a stack of the coolest vintage suitcases you’ve ever seen for sale. I restrained myself due to my doing two moves in the next two months, but I’ll be back for sure!

Will be attending the Catapult Artists Intensive at the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival in January thanks to the generosity of the festival. I look forward to bringing back so much to Jackson.
