Dear Lanier High School Alumnus:

Please help! We, the Class of 2013 draft this communication as one to seek your support. The Class of 2013 is planning and organizing several activities to raise funds to help those senior students who are less fortunate than others. We will be assisting these students in purchasing matching apparel for class day, senior trip, and graduation rental of caps and gowns.

Our destination for the senior trip is Dallas, Texas. This trip is scheduled for May 18-19, 2013. The two-day, one-night trip will be educationally enlightening, socially and culturally enriching, and entertaining. (see attached). For some students, it’s an opportunity to experience life’s culture outside of our community.

The cost of the trip to Dallas is $225 per student, which includes charter bus fare, amusement parks admission, hotel stay and meals. The matching apparel, consist of a Lanier embroidered polo shirt for the cost of $25 per student (to be worn on Class Night). Cap & gown rental for this year’s graduation is $60. Therefore, we are requesting your support to help incur some or all of the expenses for at least one Lanier High School senior.

To contribute, please make check or money order payable to LHS Senior Class Boosters. You may mail your donations to LHS Senior Class Boosters, Attn: Mr. Lee Bernard, P O Box 20474, , Jackson, MS 39209.

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to make each child a success story.

Please feel free to contact our senior sponsor, Mrs. Gwendolyn Handy at Lanier High School (601) 960 – 5981 or via cell 601-506-5616. You may e-mail her at [email protected], if further information is needed.

Respectfully submitted,
