The Trumpet: Then and Now

Joey Moore, trumpet & Mitzi Mathenia, piano

Join us for this special concert featuring Conservatory instructor Joey Moore on trumpet and accomplished pianist Mitzi Mathenia. Their program will include beloved pieces you’re sure to recognize, along with selections that highlight their artistry and musical partnership.

There is no charge for admission, but a free‑will offering will be accepted to support the Conservatory’s Scholarship Fund. Donations will go to help students who would otherwise be unable to afford music instruction.

We warmly invite you to attend and enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music while supporting our young musicians.

Continuing our teacher spotlight series, we have a wonderful Cellist at Concordia Conservatory! All who are looking for a teacher, please inquire!

Annalisa Robertson graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance at Middle Tennessee State University in 2025 with a desire to teach the next generations. In pursuit of this, she has taken Suzuki teacher training classes up through Unit 3 with teachers Tanya Carey, Beth Cantrell, and Alice Ann O’Neill as of September of 2025, and adds to her training annually. Over the last several years, Annalisa has played for weddings, performed at local assisted living centers, for her local church, and enjoyed playing with the Nashville Praise Symphony for the 2024-2025 season. She loves to play for the congregation on Sunday mornings, enjoys bringing music to other local events and collaborating with musicians in the area. Annalisa continues her teaching and performing career by offering private lessons in both Jackson and Martin, leading the Selmer and assisting the Bradford Jackson Symphony Music Academy string programs, subbing with the Jackson Symphony and the Jackson 4 String Quartet, and playing for weddings and other events around the area.
