🌀✅🌀 I was a decent student in school. I can’t say I loved the classroom environment because of how rigid it was, but I always loved LEARNING. And even more than learning, I loved the act of sharing what I learned with anyone who cared to listen. In May of 2012, I was introduced to the idea of teaching ACT prep for and my life has never been the same. I love talking to teenagers and helping them gain the confidence to achieve something they thought was beyond their reach. When I left G2C in 2023 to focus on , I knew that I wanted to continue serving in the space of college planning, financial aid, test prep, etc. That’s exactly why I started to at least be able to do the same work part-time. We offer a free ACT Prep Club workshop on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month and private sessions available upon request. I’m also partnering with to lead their virtual workshop on February 7th from 9am-1pm. Achieving a higher score on the ACT is a great way to make higher education attainable and affordable for MS students. There are free options! Don’t miss out on the opportunities! 🌀✅🌀

✅🌀✅ This Monday, the team had the pleasure of speaking at this awesome event at Raymond High School hosted by the ! This event was targeted toward the dads of their students and the discussion covered everything from positive male mentorship, career and technical training, college prep, etc. They even prepared dinner for the attendees to enjoy as they bonded over Monday Night Football on the projector! Such a cool event, and we were blown away by the Raymond High marching band! They sounded amazing!! ✅🌀✅

✅🌀✅When mapping out the programming at , I knew that at least two things were non-negotiable. We were going to offer free ACT prep workshops and youth mentorship. The next workshop is on Thursday, July 31st from 6pm-7:30pm. ✅🌀✅

Saturday morning a is perfect time for some small group ACT Prep with ! This wasn’t a school administered or government funded workshop. Some parents and friends just got together to sponsor a small group session for their kids at . Shout out to the scholars for showing up attentive and eager to learn!

🌀✅🌀 To be honest, I had no idea that the ACT would eventually be such an important part of my life. Whether it’s conducting the free ACT Prep Club meetings at every other Thursday, one-on-one Zoom meetings with student athletes, or large groups of Upward Bound & TRIO students throughout the state of MS, I enjoy every moment of teaching. Getting those emails from parents about score increases and renewed confidence makes it all worth it!
