Thank you to everyone who contributed to our book drive sponsored by the Jackson Campus Library and the Sunset Readers Book Club.
Thanks to the generosity of the Jackson Campus, other Hinds Community College campuses, and supporters from our community, we collected over 250 books and packed 12 boxes. Thank you for helping make this drive such a great success. We dropped off our donations today.

Sunset Readers wrapped up our final fellowship of the semester, and what a great ride it has been. This semester, we completed three books, started a book drive for the Methodist Children's Home, and gathered each week to show how fun reading can be.
At our last fellowship, we discussed The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden, played games, sang karaoke, and made great memories together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this semester so special. We are looking forward to next semester!

Teams competed across several categories, bringing energy, teamwork, and excitement.
A special shoutout to Ms. Ainsworth and Harlem Jamison for their wins.

In celebration of National Library Week and this year’s theme, “Find Your Joy,” the library hosted a Joy Jar: Love, Healing, and Awareness event. Mrs. Jennifer Barnes, our Single Stop Coordinator, engaged students in a meaningful discussion and guided them through creating their own Joy Jars. Each jar was filled with positive affirmations, encouraging words, and reminders of self-worth, offering students a tangible source of comfort, healing, and inspiration they can return to whenever they need a moment of joy.
