Remember to register for the 2026 Central WV Grazing School!
Looking for ways to reduce production costs, improve pasture productivity and graze livestock longer? The Central WV Grazing School is scheduled for September 11-12 at Elk Conservation District on Airport Road in Sutton. Attending the Grazing School will improve your knowledge and skills related to grazing with both classroom and hands-on opportunities. During the Grazing School, you'll learn more about temporary fencing and providing water to grazing livestock, forage budgeting, developing a grazing plan, understanding the cost of hay production, soil testing and fertility, stocking rates, nutrient management and more! Space is limited. The two-day school is $25 and includes lunch and take-home materials and supplies to enhance your grazing management.
