❄️ Snow is on the way, and while we love a beautiful winter day, your safety always comes first.

Due to NYC Public Schools closing tomorrow, 82nd Street Academics will also be closed. We hope our families take this time to stay cozy, enjoy a warm drink, and spend some extra time together.

We’re keeping a close eye on the storm and will share any updates about Tuesday as soon as we hear from city officials.

Debido al cierre de las Escuelas Públicas de NYC mañana, 82nd Street Academics también estará cerrado. Esperamos que nuestras familias aprovechen el día para mantenerse abrigadas y compartir tiempo juntos en casa.

82nd Street Academics’ Adventure Academy: Animal Kingdom is here 🦁🌿

While schools are closed, students will spend their days exploring, creating, and learning through hands-on projects, creative challenges, science-based art, and active play — all in a warm, supervised environment families can trust.

What a beautiful night at PS280 Literacy Night this past Friday. We’re so grateful to our incredible school community, families, students, staff, PTA, and partners who came together to make the evening so special.

A huge thank you to all of our partners for showing up, sharing resources, and engaging so thoughtfully with our families. It was truly inspiring to see so many organizations connected by a shared commitment to supporting our students and strengthening our community.

Special appreciation to Jumpstart, who brought so much energy and creativity to the evening, engaging parents and students through literacy activities and fun trivia that sparked curiosity, conversation, and learning throughout the room.

Moments like these remind us how powerful collaboration can be when schools, families, and community partners come together with care, intention, and joy. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a strong and supportive community.

Yesterday we kicked off our first Cooking Class in partnership with The Floating Hospital 🥦🍽️✨
Our students will be exploring nutrition, learning new cooking skills, and building social-emotional learning along the way.

This partnership is about more than just food — it’s about health, confidence, and community. 💪❤️

Making waves and memories! 🌊🐠 Our students had a fin-tastic time exploring the wonders of the Aquarium on today’s field trip! Learning, laughing, and discovering the beauty of marine life together.
