BEN FOUST NAMED PRINCIPAL OF JELLICO ELEMENTARY

Campbell County Schools is pleased to announce that Ben Foust has been named the new principal of Jellico Elementary School. Mr. Foust brings 18 years of experience in education, a strong background in school leadership, and a deep commitment to serving students, families, teachers, and the Campbell County community.

Mr. Foust earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lincoln Memorial University, his master’s degree in Leadership from Union College, and his Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. He is certified in Administration and Supervision and was also selected as a participant in the Governor’s Academy for School Leadership in 2019.

Throughout his career, Mr. Foust has served in a variety of educational roles, including classroom teacher at both the elementary and high school levels, assistant principal, and most recently as principal of Campbell County High School. He shared that each role has shaped him as an educator and leader, but his purpose has remained the same: “to do what is best for kids.”

As he begins this new role, Mr. Foust said he is excited to become part of the Jellico Elementary School community.

“Jellico is a proud community, and I understand that trust is not something you get just because you take a job. You have to earn it,” Foust said. “I am looking forward to meeting the students, families, teachers, and staff, listening to them, learning the school, and then working hard every day to help make it better.”

Mr. Foust’s vision for Jellico Elementary is centered on creating a school where students are loved, safe, challenged, and expected to grow. He also emphasized the importance of supporting teachers and staff in meaningful ways and building strong, honest relationships with families.

“I want teachers and staff to feel supported and appreciated, not just talked about that way,” Foust said. “I want families to know they are welcome in the school and that we are going to be honest with them, work with them, and put their children first.”

Mr. Foust believes in high expectations for all students while also recognizing the importance of relationships and removing barriers so students can succeed. His leadership approach is grounded in hard work, presence, service, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Personally, Mr. Foust is a husband and father who cares deeply about Campbell County. He and his wife, Ashley, have one son, Asher. He shared that his family means everything to him and that he believes in treating people right, working hard, and never asking others to do something he is not willing to do himself.

As he prepares to serve Jellico Elementary, Mr. Foust shared a message for the school community:

“I am honored to serve you, and I am coming in ready to work. I know I have a lot to learn about the school and the community, and I plan to listen first. I also want everyone to know that I will care about your children, I will support our staff, and I will do everything I can to help Jellico Elementary move forward. I am excited about the opportunity, and I look forward to earning the trust of the Jellico community.”

Campbell County Schools is excited for the future of Jellico Elementary School under Mr. Foust’s leadership. His experience, heart for students, and commitment to building strong relationships will serve the students, families, teachers, and staff of Jellico Elementary well in the years ahead.

BRANDI HARRIS NAMED PRINCIPAL OF JACKSBORO ELEMENTARY

Campbell County Schools is pleased to announce that Ms. Brandi Harris has been named the new principal of Jacksboro Elementary School. Ms. Harris brings more than 13 years of experience in education, a strong background in instructional leadership, and a deep commitment to supporting students, families, teachers, and school communities.

Ms. Harris holds an Educational Specialist degree in Supervision of Instruction and a Master of Arts degree in Literacy Specialist, both from the University of the Cumberlands. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Technological University and an Associate of Science degree in Teaching from Roane State Community College. She is certified in educational leadership and administration, literacy, and elementary education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Harris has served in a variety of educational roles. She began as a classroom teacher, teaching English Language Arts across grades 4–8, primarily in the middle school setting. For the past five years, she has served as Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach at Winfield Elementary School. She has also served in several leadership roles, including Title I Coordinator, Building Testing Coordinator, School Improvement Planning Coordinator, and instructional mentor.

These experiences have given Ms. Harris the opportunity to support students, teachers, and families in many different ways while maintaining a strong focus on academic achievement, school improvement, and student success.

As she begins her new role, Ms. Harris said she is excited to become part of the Jacksboro Elementary and Campbell County Schools family.

“I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families while learning about the traditions and strengths that make the school community special,” Harris said. “I am especially excited about working alongside teachers to support them and to ensure every child receives a high-quality education and feels supported, valued, and successful.”

Ms. Harris’s vision for Jacksboro Elementary is centered on creating a school culture where every student is challenged to reach their full potential, every family feels welcomed and engaged, and every staff member feels supported and empowered. She believes strong relationships are the foundation of successful schools and that collaboration, high expectations, academic excellence, and student well-being are all essential to helping students thrive.

“I am passionate about education and deeply believe in the impact schools have on the lives of children and families,” Harris said. “I value honesty, hard work, and open communication, and I strive to lead with integrity and a servant’s heart.”

Ms. Harris shared that she believes every child deserves to be valued, respected, and given opportunities to succeed. As both an educator and a parent, she said one of the foundations of her educational philosophy is that all students should be treated the way she would want her own daughters to be treated — with kindness, fairness, patience, encouragement, and high expectations.

“Every decision I make will be centered on what is best for students and creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential,” Harris said. “Above all, I want families and staff to know that I will always put students first.”

As she prepares to serve the Jacksboro Elementary community, Ms. Harris shared a message for students, families, and staff.

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as Principal of Jacksboro Elementary School,” Harris said. “I look forward to listening, learning, and working together as we continue building on the school’s successes. I will serve each day to the utmost of my ability. To our students, I encourage you to work hard, be kind, and always believe in your potential. To our families and staff, thank you for welcoming me into your community. I am excited to partner with you as we support our students and help them achieve great things.”

Campbell County Schools is excited to welcome Ms. Harris to this new leadership role. Her experience, instructional knowledge, servant leadership, and student-centered approach will serve Jacksboro Elementary School well as the school continues building on its tradition of excellence and preparing students for a bright future.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL WEEK FOR SCHOOL NUTRITION SUMMER FEEDING, WEEK 3 CONTINUES THIS WEEK

Last week, our Campbell County School Nutrition ProgramSummer Feeding staff prepared and gave out 8,554 breakfasts and 8,451 lunches to our students and their families.

This week's schedule is below. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm meals will be handed out at Valley View Elementary. On Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, meals will be available at Campbell County High School and Jellico High School.

Please note: If your student is enrolled in a Summer School Program, you will receive a 3 day meal package. If your student is not in a Summer School Program, you will receive a 7 day package.

Thank you to our amazing Summer Feeding staff for making sure our students and their families have access to nutritious meals this Summer!

CAMPBELL COUNTY SCHOOLS ANNOUNCE ALLISON KITTS POSTON AS NEW WYNN HABERSHAM ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

Campbell County Schools is pleased to announce that Allison Poston has been named the new principal of Wynn Habersham School TN.

Ms. Poston brings 26 years of experience in education to this role, including extensive service as both a classroom teacher and school administrator. She began her career as a classroom teacher in 1999 and moved into administration in 2011. Since that time, she has served Campbell County Schools in several leadership roles, including Principal of White Oak Elementary School, Assistant Principal at Campbell County High School, Principal of Caryville Elementary School, and most recently as Promotion and Retention Coordinator, where she has supported work related to ILPD, homebound services, summer school, and tutoring.

Ms. Poston earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education/Early Childhood from the University of the Cumberlands. She later earned both a Master of Arts in Education and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.

As she begins this new role, Ms. Poston shared that returning to Wynn Habersham is especially meaningful because she attended the school as a child.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work alongside students, families, teachers, and staff as we continue the important work of helping every student learn, grow, and succeed,” Ms. Poston said. “This opportunity is especially meaningful to me because I attended this school as a child. Returning to serve as principal is both an honor and a privilege, and I look forward to giving back to a school that played such an important role in my own life.”

Ms. Poston’s vision for Wynn Habersham Elementary is centered on students, staff, and families working together to support the whole child.

“My vision is to foster a learning environment where students come first, teachers feel supported, and families are valued partners in the educational process,” she said. “By working together, we can help every child succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.”

In addition to her professional experience, Ms. Poston brings a deep personal connection to Campbell County. She is the proud mother of two sons and two daughters-in-law and is “Gigi” to two grandchildren. Having raised her family in Campbell County, she understands the importance of strong schools and strong communities.

“Family is at the center of my life,” Ms. Poston said. “I value relationships, open communication, and creating a school environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and supported.”

Campbell County Schools is excited to welcome Ms. Poston into this leadership role and looks forward to the continued growth and success of Wynn Habersham Elementary School under her leadership.

CAMPBELL COUNTY SCHOOLS ANNOUNCE CHRIS SUTPHIN AS NEW SPECIAL EDUCATION SUPERVISOR

Campbell County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Sutphin as the district’s new Special Education Supervisor. This appointment reflects the district’s continued commitment to supporting student growth, strengthening services, and partnering with families to ensure all students have access to the support they need to succeed.

Mr. Sutphin begins this role with 25 years of experience in education, including the last 16 years serving at Campbell County High School. Throughout his career, he has
demonstrated a strong commitment to students, educators, and the Campbell County community.

Mr. Sutphin holds an Educational Specialist degree in Leadership and a Master’s degree in Supervision, both from Lincoln Memorial University. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science and Special Education from the University of Virginia at Wise. His educational background, leadership experience, and years of service in Campbell County Schools will provide a strong foundation as he steps into this district-level role.

As Special Education Supervisor, Mr. Sutphin will focus on continuing to build upon the strong foundation already established within Campbell County’s special education programs. His work will center on student growth and achievement, ensuring that services, supports, and resources are in place to meet the needs of special education students across the district.

“I look forward to building on the foundation that has been established in special
education,” Mr. Sutphin said. “My focus will be on growth and achievement for our special education students and making sure Campbell County has the services in place to help meet those goals.”
In addition to his professional service, Mr. Sutphin is married and has three stepchildren, two children, and two grandchildren. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing and golfing.

Campbell County Schools is excited to welcome Mr. Sutphin into this new leadership role and looks forward to the continued growth of special education services for students and families across the district.
