Take a closer look at these expressive monotypes by visiting artist and printmaker Linda Tay’nahza’, each one is completely unique, full of texture, movement, and beautiful surprises.

Join Linda at MakeSpace for The Expressive Monotype: A 3-Day Creative Immersion, September 24–26, from 10 AM–4 PM each day.

Over three hands-on days, you’ll explore:
• Monotype foundations, plates, inks, papers & press operation
• Ghost prints, multiple drops, stencils & rainbow rolls
• Washes, chine collé, linear transfer & hand-worked embellishments
• Layering, color, texture and personal experimentation
• Developing a body of work that reflects your own artistic voice

With more than 30 years of experience in printmaking and an extensive exhibition and teaching history, Linda brings a wealth of knowledge, and a genuine love of teaching to this immersive workshop.

Whether you’re new to monotype or already have experience with printmaking, this is an opportunity to experiment, play, and discover what this wonderfully unpredictable medium can do.

Jen is an impressionist oil painter from Ogden, Utah, who has been capturing landscapes, florals, and luminous water lily scenes since 2002. Her work has earned awards, exhibition placements, and even film set features — and now she’s here to guide you through creating your own.

Join us for Impressions of Water Lilies — a relaxed oil painting class where you’ll learn to capture light, movement, and color with expressive brushwork and palette knife techniques. Beginners welcome, step-by-step guidance included.

In this four-week series, nationally exhibited painter and educator Larry Ge**er guides students through the foundational principles that allow artists to communicate visually with clarity, confidence, and intention. In this immersive two-day workshop, Carol will guide students through the complete process of creating a multi-colored reduction linocut print. Participants will learn how to develop and transfer a design, carve a linoleum block with confidence, and understand the step-by-step reduction process that allows multiple colors to emerge from a single block.

All materials are included—just bring a sketchbook, a few simple design ideas, and a willingness to experiment. No prior art experience is required.
