Rocky Vista University Utah recently welcomed a new class of Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences students as they began orientation and prepared for the year ahead.

Throughout orientation, students learned more about the MSBS program, connected with classmates and faculty, and had the opportunity to meet RVU President Dr. Werth. They also participated in Playful Campus activities designed to encourage connection, well-being, and a little fun as they settled into their new community.

Orientation marks the beginning of an important academic journey, and we’re excited to welcome our newest MSBS students to RVU-UT. We look forward to seeing the relationships they build, the challenges they take on, and the growth that lies ahead.

“As osteopathic medical students and future DOs, it’s important to contribute to the field of osteopathy and to stay up to date on current best practices."

RVU students put their research presentation skills into practice during the 3rd annual Spring Research Day across all three campuses.

Students presented more than 70 posters at RVU-MT and approximately 80 posters each at RVU-CO and RVU-UT, sharing research projects with faculty, staff, and fellow students.

One featured project explored the use of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) as a treatment for anxiety. Student researcher Kelsey Lacy, OMS-III, and her team developed a clinical trial focused on affordable, accessible, and non-pharmacologic treatment options. Read more here: https://bit.ly/4dLh8nU

Spring Research Day helps RVU students gain valuable experience presenting research, preparing for conferences, and strengthening residency applications while contributing to the future of osteopathic medicine!

When every second counts, preparation makes all the difference.

RVU-UT students recently participated in a large-scale mass casualty simulation—working alongside first responders and healthcare professionals to triage, treat, and coordinate care in a high-pressure environment.

From simulated car crashes to complex trauma scenarios, this hands-on experience helps future physicians build the skills they’ll rely on when it matters most.
