Dear Crescent Students, Faculty, Staff, Families, and Stakeholders:

It is a proud day to be a Crescent Tiger! Crescent High School earned an Excellent rating on the 2026 South Carolina School Report Card with an overall score of 77, the highest score in school history!

Crescent also earned Excellent ratings in five of the six evaluated categories and celebrated its ninth consecutive year with a graduation rate of 90% or higher. These accomplishments reflect the commitment of our entire school community to helping students succeed.

Our overall report card ratings over the past five years demonstrate that continued commitment:

2022: Excellent
2023: Good
2024: Excellent
2025: Excellent
2026: Excellent

To our faculty and staff, thank you for the care, time, and effort you pour into our students every day. Your consistency and continued excellence is remarkable! To our students, congratulations on your hard work and accomplishments. To our families and stakeholders, thank you for trusting us, supporting our school, and partnering with us to create opportunities for every student.

Behind these results are students reaching goals, teachers helping them grow, and a community that believes in what we can accomplish together. We have much to celebrate, and we will continue building on this success.

Congratulations, Crescent! I am proud to serve as your Principal and grateful to be part of this school community. Make sure to see the attached graphic.

Go Tigers!

🧪⚛️ Science has been BUSY in our classrooms lately! 🔥

Our scientists have been getting hands-on with some seriously cool chemistry!

⚛️ Integrated Science 9 became the architects of atoms! Students built models of elements using pieces to represent protons, neutrons, and electrons—putting their knowledge of atomic structure together one piece at a time.

🔥 Chemistry brought the fire! During flame tests, students excited electrons and observed the beautiful colors released as the electrons returned to lower energy levels. Science has never looked so colorful! 🌈

🧪 Then things got reactive! Students investigated the reactivity of halogens and alkaline earth metals, observing chemical reactions and identifying when a precipitate formed. Lots of predictions, observations, and “WHOA, look at that!” moments!

From building atoms to colorful flames to chemical reactions, our students aren't just learning science—they're doing science! 🔬✨

🌟 Aurora Sebastian Diego
A teacher said, “My class was given the assignment of creating a one-pager regarding events leading to declaring independence and ultimately the American Revolution. Out of a class of 27 students, Aurora's one-pager stood out as being the most creative out of the class.”🎨

September's Core of the Month is FRIENDSHIP! In this interactive lesson, Mrs. Jordan's students did a variety of challenges that each spoke to the traits of friendship and how to be a good friend. Students practiced and discussed trust, guidance, encouragement, and communication, among other characteristics of healthy friendships. What a unique way to get kids thinking about our core value!

⚖️ GUILTY AS CHARGED! 🌹

Mrs. Pinson’s English students brought "A Rose for Emily" to life by putting Emily Grierson on trial! Each student took on a role—attorneys, witnesses, jurors, and more—while questioning characters and examining the evidence.

After a dramatic courtroom battle, the verdict was in…

🔨 EMILY: GUILTY!
