We have to take precautions!
Doctors across the country have reported an increase in COVID-19 cases during the summer months, but many patients are experiencing symptoms that differ from those commonly associated with the virus.
“We’re still seeing people with fevers, cough and upper respiratory symptoms, but a lot of people are coming in with gastrointestinal symptoms — nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes to the point of mild dehydration,” said Dr. James Black, medical director of emergency services at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
