As an introduction to our first project: CONSTRUCTION from INSTRUCTION, and conceptual art making, Students in Intro Sculpture classes created Sol LeWitt Wall Drawings from original instructions in the CSG Gallery! Drawings are currently on display in the Art Building (Ceracche Center)
"Sol LeWitt (1928-2007) believed the IDEA itself could be the work of art, and maintained that, like an architect who creates a blueprint for a building and then turns the project over to a construction crew, an artist should be able to conceive of a work and then either delegate its actual production to others or perhaps even never make it al all."
Sol LeWitt wrote many instructions for Wall Drawings- to be executed by any-one other than himself.
