Did you know the number of homeless youth in Tompkins County tripled between 2021 and 2023? Without intervention, homeless youth become homeless adults, joining the chaos that is our current homelessness crisis locally and nationally.

Supporting Village House is a great way to make an impact on this issue locally, and every dollar and share matters to us.

This week, you have the opportunity to support us in taking a huge step -- achieving ownership of the Village House property, insuring we can provide a safe and supportive space for homeless youth until our community eradicates the problem entirely.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the TST BOCES Adult Education volunteers who participated in the United Way’s Day of Action project in partnership with Village House. Over the course of three hours, they braved the scorching summer heat to clean the weeds in the yard, trim the bushes, and collect litter around the house, transforming the house into a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing addition to the community.

May was a whirlwind of creativity and fun! 🎪✨ Big thanks to our amazing partners for creating spaces where our kids can shine. From the Circus in the Garden Festival with Circus Culture, to the Breaking Ground Steppers at Rootstock, and GCF showing us how to boogie at IthacaFest, it’s been a summer to remember and it’s only begun! 🌟🎶

We want to thank the Community Arts Partnership for their funding support in our Village Arts Programs. This program is made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.

You can check us out by subscribing to our newsletter to stay up to date on village arts events coming in June ❤️☀️

We are incredibly grateful to Frank Muller Tommy Beers, and our steadfast supporters, the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, for the resounding success of the Let There Be Light art sale. We raised an impressive $580, which will be instrumental in covering the closing costs required for the purchase. If you did not have the opportunity to attend the art sale, there is still time to contribute to Village House. You can make a donation at any time by going to our website, clicking the donate button and in the dropdown menu selecting: Village House ❤️ We will also attach the donation link here: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=5CCNQUW6Q6T42
