IC African Latino Society African-Latino Society (ALS) is a student-run organization at Ithaca College. We are dedicated to ra

ALS approaches each general meeting and event by focusing on a social political or cultural view. We address topics ranging from the limited portrayals of Latinos and Blacks in media, to the marginalization of black and brown identities, to celebrating cultures with music, food and other fun activities. As the first ALANA organization, founded in 1969, we are dedicated to serving as an umbrella organization, partner, and advocator for other ALANA organizations, and the greater Ithaca College community.
