There is still one family left on our list (one parent and one little boy) for care package sign ups, and we are also on the look out for a computer and kids' DVDs.

As hard as things are right now, we are so, so moved by your support and kindness, especially as we all battle not just COVID but the insidious threats of racism and xenophobia as well. Thank you for showing once again what a wonderful, welcoming place this is!

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Global Roots is closed; while we don't know how long the shutdown will last, we will reassess the situation in consultation with Open Doors English.

The auction is a crucial source of funding for the Play School and vital to continuing our mission to support childcare accessibility for refugee and immigrant families. Since we launched in September 2017, we've served 32 children ages 18 months to 5 years and families from 19 countries of origin including Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Karen community from Burma, China, Ecuador, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Romania, and beyond!
