Disability Rights New York’s PAIMI Advisory Council (PAC) is comprised of 7-9 people representing all parts of the state.
DRNY is currently looking for qualified applicants knowledgeable about mental health issues and an attorney from the North Country, Hudson Valley and Long Island regions of the state.
The PAC’s role is to provide independent advice and recommendations to DRNY on policies and priorities for protecting and advocating the rights of individuals with mental illness in New York State.
Most PAC members must be individuals with a mental health diagnosis.
The PAC meets at least three times annually.
If you are knowledgeable about mental health issues, AND are a mental health professional; or a provider of mental health services; or someone who has received mental health services; or someone who is currently receiving mental health services; or a family member who is receiving mental health services; or a family member who has received mental health services; or a family member who is a primary care giver for a minor child who is receiving or has received mental health services; or an attorney; please complete and return DRNY’s PAC Application for consideration.
