Become a Graduate Student Mentor!
Graduate Students Mentoring Undergraduates (GSMU) supports undergraduates in OADl’s signature programs as they navigate academic life and explore pathways to graduate study. The program fosters a welcoming, safe community where students build authentic mentoring relationships with graduate students and reflect on their undergraduate experiences. Through mentor matching and monthly community events. participants gain exposure to diverse disciplines and post-baccalaureate opportunities.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis and close August 21st, 2026.
GSMU is a collaborative initiative between the Office of Academic Discovery and Impact (OADI) and Graduate School Office of Inclusion & Student Engagement (OISE).

We call…and they always answer with enthusiasm!
We are so appreciative of our Cornell PhD and Postdoc alumni who always give of their time so generously.
Today, the members of this alumni faculty panel, representing various institutional types in the U.S. and abroad, provided many candid and practical insights to the members of our NextGen Professors Program. We are grateful for their engagement and their commitment to pay it forward to the next generation of the professoriate🙏🏽❤️😊
