President Obama’s Nowruz Message to the Iranian People 03/21/2016

Happy New Year! We wish you all a year full of health, prosperity, love and joy.

Thank you to everyone who came out the other night to celebrate the coming of 1395, as well as everyone who came out Tuesday night for Charshanbeh Soori. We are blessed to have such a vibrant Cornell community that is so excited to share and/or learn about Iran and the Persian culture.

Thank you to all our sponsors who made it possible for the event to be entirely free: CUTonight, the NES Department, SAFC, CCC, CUPB, Risley, EINAUDI, ALANA, ISU, HILC, and WRC.

Thank you to all our wonderful performers including our guests from Los Angeles, the Sibarg Ensemble, the Cornell Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Music Ensemble, Soroush Alamdari, and the lovely Cornell Persian Dance Troupe.

And finally, thank you SO MUCH to all of our volunteers throughout the process of planning Norooz and all the activities on the week of Norooz. Without your help, the event would have been possible: Alpha Phi Omega- Gamma Chapter, Colton Haney, Armin Behroozi, Mahya Mehrmohamadi, Watermargin Co-op, Mr. Alaghband, Niloofar & Pasha Gaminchi, Touchdown the Big Red Bear, Yuchen Sun, and Romin Abdolahzadi. So many people helped out in different ways, and we hope we remembered to list everyone.
