Cornell University and Alumni Affairs & Development is now officially represented as part of Toastmasters International. Big Red Toastmasters became a recognized chartered group 10/29/2012. The purpose of Toastmasters International is to help people become better communicators and leaders, while providing an atmosphere of acceptance and assistance. By adding new members to our club, we help improve the life of individuals and gain valuable new members for our Cornell club. Our corporate Cornell group is a hybrid model working to apply Toastmasters and Cornell related skills. Visitors are always welcome! Toastmasters International

Membership fees will be increasing on August 3, 2026. Renew now and recieve the old rate of $60 for 6 months.

On August 3rd it will be $72 per 6 month period.

Our very own Area 41 had a speech contest this past weekend. Two of our Big Red Members spoke. They gave it their all and we are so proud of them. Maggie Salvato came in 2nd place and will be moving on to the next stage in the contest. Thank you all who came out to support our team. We also would like to give a big shout out to the other contestants.

Stretched way outside of my comfort zone and hosted a speech contest for Toastmasters this weekend. We had a lot of fun and got to encourage our members to move on to the Division contest on 3/9 in Sayre. Thank you to everyone from Big Red Toastmasters that helped me pull this off. And special thanks to Grace Lu for being our Chief Judge.
