Center for Technology Licensing at Cornell University - CTL Cornell University's Technology Transfer Office The Center for Technology Licensing (CTL) is Cornell University's technology transfer office.

We manage technologies and plant varieties for Cornell University at the main campus in Ithaca, the Weill Cornell Medicine campus in New York City, and the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva. Our goal is to support Cornell's land-grant mission and to promote public good by connecting Cornell technology to industry and business development efforts. We promote beneficial interactions between Cornell researchers and industry, partner with industry to develop Cornell technologies and plant varieties into products and services for public good, and leverage Cornell innovations to promote the formation of new businesses based on Cornell technology to fuel regional economic development. Reflective of Cornell's broad research endeavors, CTL manages inventions from disciplines including veterinary medicine, nanoscale engineering, chemistry, plant breeding, materials science, and medicine. CTL licenses Cornell technologies to industry partners from all 50 states and in Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Central and South America. Cornell inventions are patented in over forty countries.
