Cornell Chimes

Cornell Chimes The Cornell Chimes are the university's oldest musical tradition, and one of the most frequently played set of bells on any American college campus.

Housed in historic McGraw Tower, the 21-bells are played primarily by student chimesmasters.

Welcome back alumni! The tower will be open for reunion concerts happening at the following times:

Thursday-Friday
7:45-8am
1:10-1:25pm
6-6:15pm

Saturday-Sunday
10:10-10:25am
12-12:15pm
6-6:15pm

The doors will open 15 minutes before each concert on Thursday, Friday, Sunday and 25 minutes before each concert on Saturday.

Since 1868, the Cornell Chimes program has been an integral part of the Cornell community and experience, all thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends.

WE’RE OPEN FOR VISITORS!!! 🎉

We are very happy to announce that we are now able to have visitors at our concerts again, as construction is paused for winter weather from now until around April!

⚠️ Important things to note:

🕑 The bottom entrance of the tower will be open from 15 minutes before concerts until halfway through the concert or when we reach occupant capacity.
(As of right now, we will NOT be using CampusGroups for signups.)

🚧 The view from the top (belfry area) is currently closed, but you CAN still watch the chimesmasters play and request your favorite songs!

We missed interacting with you all at our concerts and look forward to seeing you again soon!
