William Keeton House, which opened in August 2008, is the fourth of five houses comprising the West Keeton (February 3, 1933-August 17, 1980).

William Keeton House resides on Cornell's beautiful West Campus, part of the Residential Initiative at Cornell University. The House was named in honor of Cornell faculty member William T. The House has its own dining room, leisure common area, library, pantry, guest suite, and rooms for computing, seminars, academic support, and programs that engage faculty, students, and staff in an environment of collegiality, civility, and stewardship. Cornellians Named Part of the Forbes Under 30 Scholars 08/29/2019

Congratulations to Jehron Petty '20, a Keeton resident, on being named a Forbes Under 30 scholar. He has received free admission to attend the Forbes Under 30 Summit, a three day event for up-and-coming “leaders, founders, investors and creators." 👏

From the article:

A longtime serial entrepreneur, Petty first began as an entrepreneur as a teenager fixing devices for friends. Since then, he has launched a clothing line, developed a video series to give financial advice to young people of color, and a platform that challenges participants to “live a life above average.”

Petty’s advice concerned itself the most important part of starting a business: simply founding it.

“It’s all about starting,” Petty said. “It sounds counter-intuitive, but people get bogged down by ‘perfection,’ they think they need to start with an end product.” He cited Facebook’s origins as a social network for Harvard as an example of the evolution of a business.

“I’m a big fan of starting as fast as possible, and failing as fast as possible,” Petty said."

Cornellians Named Part of the Forbes Under 30 Scholars Every year, the Forbes 30 Under 30 list identifies the most promising young visionaries, and Cornellians almost always make an appearance. This year, it was Chiamaka Ijebuonwu ’20 and Jehron Petty ’20 who were named Forbes Under 30 “Scholars,” recognizing them as up-and-coming “leaders, fo...
