NYC alums: save the date for the Sy Katz ‘31 Parade on Saturday, November 19! Following the Cornell/Columbia football game, the Big Red Band and Cornellians of all ages will march to the Cornell Club of New York, where all can enjoy a tailgate event. Registration info in the link in our bio.
A little history of this unique event: Seymour “Sy” Katz ’31 was an avid supporter of all things Cornell. He fell in love with the Big Red Marching Band in the late 60s and decided that the band needed its own parade. In 1972, with the help of friends at the Cornell Club of New York, he managed to get a police permit to march one city block. Over the years, the parade has taken on a life of its own, but the mission remains the same: to give the Big Red Marching Band a time to shine. Sy took great pride in the fact that “No other Ivy has its very own parade in New York City!” We hope to see you there! Don’t forget to tag us in any photos of the event!

For the past five years, Felix Gray has produced high-performing, hand-finished frames with first-of-their-kind, proprietary Blue Light filtering lenses. They are committed to making the best eyewear for the modern world. Check them out, and congrats David!!
