OuLaw is Cornell Law School's organization for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, (LGBTQIA+) and Straight Ally students on campus.
We host speaker series on issues relevant to the LGBTQ legal community, provide a mentorship program for 1L students, organize networking opportunities with alums and LGBTQ professors on campus, and act as a voice for the LGBTQ community at Cornell Law. Today on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember all the trans lives lost this year, so many of whom were BIPOC trans women. We need to do better to stop the epidemic of violence against trans people, especially women of color.
These Are the Trans People Lost to Violence in 2020 Thirty-seven transgender, nonbinary, or gender-nonconforming Americans have become homicide victims this year.
