Opus Ithaca is turning 15! Please join us to celebrate at the Stewart Park Large Pavilion on September 5 at 4pm.

A few weeks ago, we began our summer season! What an incredible week at our Chamber Music Workshop for Strings🎻🎶✨
Our students -adults and youth-spent the week collaborating, listening, leading, and growing together through the art of chamber music. From inspiring coachings and rehearsals to new friendships and a wonderful final performance, it was lovely to watch each ensemble develop confidence, musicality, and teamwork. Chamber music teaches so much more than notes on a page—it builds communication, creativity, leadership, and the joy of making music together. We are so proud of every student for their dedication, enthusiasm, and beautiful performances. A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding faculty, supportive families, and everyone who helped make this workshop such a memorable success. We can’t wait to do it again!

Opus Ithaca was honored to be a part of yesterday's America 250 Liberty Tree ribbon-cutting ceremony at our beloved Stewart Park. Thank you Mindy Carter Oakes and the DAR for the invitation- and for the trees! And our own Juliana Pepinsky for making the music happen. ☺️ Special guests included Anna Kelles, Josh Riley and Robert Cantelmo -and the kids of the Stewart Park summer camp! 🎉🌳🎵🥁

As another incredible year comes to a close, we’re celebrating a season filled with music, growth, and community at Opus Ithaca! 🎶

From private lessons and musicianship classes for babies and older, to masterclasses, chamber music, jazz ensembles, Odyssey choir, flute ensemble, group classes, workshops, and performances, our students embraced every opportunity to learn and grow. Even going to Carnegie Hall! 😊🎶

This year featured nearly 75 performances - concerts, outreach performances at local retirement communities, special community events, collaborative projects, faculty recitals, guest artist recitals, and countless moments of creativity and connection. We watched students gain confidence, discover new skills, form lasting friendships, and share the joy of music with audiences across our community.

Thank you to our amazing students, dedicated faculty, supportive families, generous donors, and community partners for making this year so special. Opus is Opus because of you. 🌻We are proud of all that we’ve accomplished together and can’t wait to see what next year brings. We will be celebrating 15 years, so stay tuned!!!
