In honor of it being Friday Jr. and with classes, organizations, and responsibilities gearing up, weâre sharing another Peer Tip for New Students from our very own Davis Postell!
Davis is a fourth-year, human development major, and he served as a member of the Orientation Steering Committee this year!
Davisâ advice for new students: âIt can be super easy to feel overwhelmed between classes, making friends, and simply adjusting to being on your own. Donât overload yourself; you donât have to do everything all at once. And be kind to yourself! Listen to your body and remember that your mental and physical health are more important than anything else!â

PEER TIPS FROM OSC! đťđ
Sofia is our other OSC Co-Chair! She is a senior Biology & Society AND Psychology double major, with a minor in English.
Sofiaâs tip is: Take your time to enjoy your undergrad experience!! I promise there are enough hours in the day for work, clubs, hanging out with new friends, and enjoying nature. Go swim, hike, meet new people, and take care of yourself! When you look back at your years at Cornell, youâll remember the fun times and appreciate that you made those memories for yourself.â
