Meet our emcee and co-president of PRSSA Senior IMC major Philip Perricelli! Philip worked as a production intern with MKG on brand activations for Nike, Peloton, and Tiffany & Co. and worked as a digital production intern with Deutsch on accounts like PNC Bank, Anheuser-Busch, and created a pro bono campaign. Phil’s advice is to “keep hustling! Sometimes things don’t work out your way but the things that weren’t meant to work help you grow and learn for the future.” See you tonight in the Emerson Suites at 7pm!

Meet our last panelist Senior TVR major Reid Simoncini! Reid did the Ithaca College Los Angeles program where I interned with Dr. Phil and NBC Sports, and then had the opportunity to intern for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics in February when she came back. This past summer she interned with Late Night with Seth Meyers in New York City as well. Reid’s advice is to “encourage students to create relationships with employers. The key to getting great internships is being very proactive with networking and reaching out to people, and being very persistent.” See you tomorrow in the Emerson Suites at 7pm!

Meet Senior IMC major Phoebe Ertel! Phoebe took part in the ICNYC program in Spring 2018 where she was a PR Intern for Time Magazine under Time Inc. as well as helping with Fortune Magazine and Money Magazine which were all bought out by Meredith during her time there. She was tasked with crafting press releases for weekly and monthly magazine releases, media relations, and event planning for the Time 100 Gala. During this past summer she interned for S’well Bottle at their headquarters in NYC as their PR and Communications Intern. There she was tasked with similar duties such as crafting press releases, media relations, event planning, and working with product placements for online and print media. Phoebe’s advice is “Don’t back away or be afraid when given a bigger project than you’re used to. By showing your willingness to step up to the plate and work outside your comfort zone, it can end up leading to a variety of amazing opportunities and connections that you may have thought were never possible.”

It’s time to meet Junior Business Administration major Ryan Buchanan! Ryan interned with NBC at the 2018 Winter Olympics where he worked at the Slalom and Giant Slalom course at the Yongpyong Alpine Center. He was tasked with taking care of various fan relation aspects of the event, including greeting spectators and giving directions, relaying information to fans, and seating fans. Ryan’s advice is “Take advantage of the resources that your school has to offer. My month long trip was relatively inexpensive, and I gained so much by being able to travel halfway across the globe to experience the passion, excitement, and entertainment that is associated with the Olympic Games.”
