We hope that everyone has had a good start to the semester! Due to social distancing, we will be hosting the club virtually via discord every Friday at 5:30pm, starting on September 25th.

Happy Holidays everyone! Pictured below is our outreach team having a team dinner and seeing off GM Jan-Christian Schroeder, who will soon be returning to Germany.

This past weekend, our chess outreach team hosted the 1st Ithaca Scholastic Tournament at Boynton Middle School! The tournament was attended by 30 K-12 students of many nearby schools. Thank you to everyone who attended and special thanks to Boynton Middle School for graciously providing the venue space. We look forward to continuing to inspire interest in chess and encourage a love for the game in all nearby communities! :)

Hey yall!

Chess Club is excited to again be hosting a simultaneous exhibition with FM Adarsh Jayakumar as part of Cornell's Welcome Weekend! Adarsh will be playing 15 people at a time with players rotating in as games finish. Come by Willard Straight Hall tonight (Friday, 8/25) from 8-12 to play. Any winners will receive a $50 Cornell Store gift card!!

During Welcome Weekend there will be other events including Laser Tag, Pickleball, Photobooths, and way more in Denise Cassaro's TGIF email. We hope to see you all there!

We here at Cornell Chess Club are extremely excited to announce our first event of the year! Adarsh Jayakumar will be hosting a Simultaneous Chess Exhibition this Friday (Aug. 26th) from 7:30-11:30 in Willard Straight Hall.
Adarsh will be playing 15 players simultaneously with players rotating out after each game. Any player who wins against Adarsh will receive a $50 Cornell Store Gift Card!
During this "Welcome Weekend" event, there will also be laser tag, tie-dye shirts, late-night breakfast and much more...for free!
