Congratulations to Evan Wood and Lewis McDonald who competed in the State FFA Tractor Driving Contest today at AgroExpo. They both did a great job at the competition. Lewis McDonald placed 4th in the state Garden tractor driving division.

Tonight was the chapter FFA Tractor Driving Contest. Since there were 3 members interested in competing in the state driving contest, a chapter contest was conducted to decide the top 2 who will compete on Wednesday. Congratulations to all three members who competed and studied for tonight. Evan Wood, Beckett Foglesong, & Lewis McDonald did a great job . Evan & Lewis advanced to state level
Competition. Congratulations!

2026 Chapter officer Retreat was today in Frankenmuth. The day started off with a bump when the school van broke down in the bus garage parking lot. But thank you to Ithaca Schools transportation Dept & of course our chapter officers to help push the van back and setting us up with a new van to drive.

First stop was a tour of the Star of the West Milling. The officers learned about the company, future job opportunities, and saw wheat being made into flour. Our tour guide is a former student teacher at Ithaca back in 2000. Thank you Adam Kern for giving us the tour and chatting with you about your experience at Ithaca. Thank you Star of the West for hosting us today & to Lisa Woodke for all your help organizing this tour.

Second stop was a team building activity at the aerial park. The officers completed a very hard and very high ropes course. They worked together to help each other complete their course. Very much recommend this for team building and strength training 🤣

Last stop was Bavarian Inn where the officers learned how to make Bavarian pretzels in a pretzel making class and eat an old fashioned chicken dinner at Bavarian Inn.

Also, the team planned their year and decided on a new theme for the 26-27 year. Stay tuned for the announcement.
