The official page of Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES. It’s a long way from a shared dental hygienist and driver trainer!

After more than 60 years of BOCES leadership, Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES serves nearly 900 students in BOCES programs, hundreds of adult students and employs over 350 staff. We adapt as noted in our mission and purpose to contemporary shared service needs by our component districts β€” School Improvement Services, Health and Safety Programs, the Central Business Office, SESIS (Special Education Sch

Two days. One region. Countless ideas.

School leaders from across the TST region gathered last week at Groton Central School District to explore the future of AI in education, learn from keynote speakers Dr. Bill Daggett and Dr. Angel Acosta, and discover practical strategies they can bring back to their districts.

Thank you to the TST BOCES Regional School Success (RSS) team for organizing the first-ever Regional Administrator Conference, and to every school leader who invested two days in learning, collaborating, and leading forward together.

One step at a time… Our students helped paint the steps to the Circle of Courage labyrinth in the Smith School garden earlier this week, demonstrating Independence and Mastery along the way. πŸ’™

Safe to say these visitors were the G.O.A.T...literally. πŸ’™

Our Summer School students had the best time welcoming Fall Down Farm to TST last week. From baby goats and sheep to a tortoise, our four-legged visitors brought plenty of smiles as our students fed, pet, held, and loved on the animals! Thanks so much for bringing the farm to us! πŸ’πŸ‘πŸ

πŸ₯Œ Curling, collaboration, and Lake Placid? Count us in! πŸ’™

TST BOCES was proud to partner with the Rural Schools Association of NY to help host this year's RSA Summer Conference in Lake Placid. A special shoutout to TST District Superintendent Lily Talcott, Assistant Superintendent Cindy Walter, Newfield Superintendent Jesse Harper, TST BOE President Linda Competillo, and TST BOE member Helen Arco, who spent months helping plan this year's conference!

The TST region was well represented throughout the conference, with leaders from TST BOCES, Newfield CSD , and Groton CSD leading presentations and breakout sessions.

And to top it all off, Team TST brought home the curling championship while sporting custom shirts featuring a logo designed by our TST BOCES Career and Tech Digital Media students! πŸ’™πŸ₯Œ

Our newest P-TECH students are already off to a great start! πŸš€

This week, our incoming 9th grade cohort took part in the annual P-TECH Bridge Week, spending time getting to know their classmates, teachers, and the P-TECH program through hands-on projects, STEAM challenges, team-building activities, and plenty of collaboration.

From learning the halls of Tompkins Cortland Community College (P-TECH's campus) to designing engineering challenges and creating a collaborative art project, it was a fun week of learning, creativity, and new friendships.

Welcome to the P-TECH family! πŸ’™ Check out some of our favorite moments from Bridge Week in TST PTECH Academy's album!
