Rachel Behrens(class of 2009), alumni from the Cornell University Horn Studio, visited Cornell this past Monday and presented to the ChemE junior class about her career as part of their alumni seminar series. It was so great to see her and connect again after 17 years!

Cornell University had only been in session for about a month and we already had 2 concerts this semester. Congratulations to the Cornell orchestras and to CU winds for your performances these past 2 weekends. It’s a good day in my teacher world when finally all my students at both universities are added to Faculty Center and registered for lessons. Let’s just say, it was not an easy task to fit everyone this year! It is going to be one of my busiest years as a college teacher where I will be teaching all 5 days of the week, including traveling to BU most weeks twice to teach and coach ensembles.
Today I also heard that my private horn student from Ithaca was selected for principal horn in All State! I am so excited to work with so many talented horn players here in the Fingerlakes! Thankful to have the best job in the world! πŸ™

First horn studio dinner of the year! It makes me so happy when I see my students hang out together! Not everyone is in the photo, but it seems like about 2/3rds of them could make it! πŸ“― Have fun everyone!
