β€œMy name is Paula Sedran, and I am a researcher at CONICET, Argentina. My work focuses on drinking cultures, their international connections, and the ways in which the history of alcohol in the twentieth century continues to shape our present.

During May, I was a Visiting Scholar at LACS. My experience was both enriching and highly productive. I had the opportunity to work alongside an outstanding team of professionals and exceptionally generous colleagues.

LACS provided a welcoming environment in which to advance my research, access archival materials that are essential to my project, and explore new perspectives through conversations with fellow scholars, as well as with the staff of the Center and the libraries. I also established valuable connections with colleagues from other universities and from different centers across Cornell. Throughout this process, the support of the LACS team was invaluable.

I hope to return soon and continue developing the collaborations and research pathways that began during my time at LACS.”

Our FLTA for the Quechua course had an amazing Cultural Festival!

This event was a significant celebration of Andean culture, where the students of Elementary Quechua 1 and Elementary Quechua 2 transported us to the Andes through presentations of traditional songs, poetry, and dance.
