What a day on the courts!

Our students brought their classroom to life by planning and executing an incredible pickleball tournament from start to finish. From event operations to facility management, this was hands-on learning at its best.

Real-world experience, teamwork, and a great event all in one. We can’t wait to see what our Sport Event and Facility Management class will do next semester!

Sarah Shenman and Abby Sevegny recently attended the Canva Create conference in Los Angeles!

The day kicked off with a powerful keynote unveiling Canva’s latest product ecosystem and AI developments, followed by a standout session on storytelling and world-building with director Jon M. Chu. Between sessions, they spent time in hands-on workshops testing out new AI features and exploring brand activations from industry leaders like LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, and Intuit Mailchimp — and even meeting an alum.

Get ready to go green because Sustainability Week 2026 is officially here — starting with a Pop Up Pub last night! We have put together an event bucket list below that shows how good a time saving the planet can be:

    •    The Sustainability Fair: Join us at Textor Hall on Monday, April 20th, from 10 AM to 2 PM.
    •    Free Stuff: We will have doughnuts, Via’s Cookies, and a chance for you to win a free T-shirt.
    •    Geothermal Energy Talk: Wayne Bezner Kerr from Cornell will be discussing climate resiliency on Tuesday, April 21st, at 5 PMin BUS 111.
    •    Green Games: Cheer on our baseball and softball teams at the Freeman and Kostrinsky fields.
    •    Keynote Event: IC alum and sport sustainability expert Brian McCullough ‘05 will be speaking in Textor 102 on Thursday, April 23rd, at 7 PM.
