The ITA PAC is out there working like our democracy depends on it! Do your part by making sure that you and everyone you love is registered to vote!!
Fun fact, you do not need to be 18 to register in New York! Young folks can pre-register to avoid hastles at the polls. They do, however, need to be 18 on November 5th to vote this time around!

This afternoon we'll gather online to vote on the first (of many) potential proposals to bring to the bargaining table!
Remember, union democracy relies on every member showing up to raise their voice for what they need in our upcoming contract negotiations!

This weekend, ITA members (and their adorable pets) joined ICSD students in the Out of the Darkness Walk for su***de prevention. This team was organized by the Boynton Middle School Rainbow Alliance, a club open to all students that supports creating safer and more loving school spaces for LGBTQ+ youth. This event was important, as LGBTQ+ students face statistically higher mental health challenges and have much higher rates of ideation than their cis, straight peers.
The ITA Social Justice League is committed to caring for all of our students who feel marginalized by this world we live in. If you're interested in joining us in this important community care work, send us a DM and we'll get you in touch with our committee chairs, or show up to the first Social Justice Potluck of the year on October 17th to learn more about our social justice plans for this year and beyond!
