Planning a trip to Ithaca? Here’s a perfect day!

-Grab your breakfast from the Ithaca Bakery
-Board our boat for a narrated, one hour cruise to Taughannock Falls State Park

Macroinvertebrate Spotlight: Stonefly Larvae (Plecoptera) 🔎

Stonefly larvae are a sensitive species, also called an indicator species. You might notice their yellow and black coloring, almost like a wasp! Other species are completely dark brown.

They can be intense carnivores, hunting other aquatic insects. They're not great swimmers, though. They prefer crawling on the stones, hence, stonefly.

We've got 12 great names proposed. Which one will be the name of our new and future "Boat for Everyone"? Help us decide by casting your vote!
