Designer Spotlight: Julia DeNey Written by Grace Anderson Julia DeNey, and New Canaan, CT native, debuted her Level 3 childrenswear collection this past Saturday at our 35th annual show. The fashionable child models, always a crowd favorite, rocked the runway with confidence and pep in every step.

Alpha Xi Delta is honored to have the opportunity to help shine a light on autism. We believe the autism community is represented by a beautifully diverse group of people who possess many talents and work to overcome a variety of challenges. Autism Speaks is continuing to evolve to address all the diverse needs of the autism spectrum. We understand there are individuals on the spectrum who are advocating for themselves, and we also respect and applaud their work within the autism community. We choose to partner with Autism Speaks based on their desire to provide support to those who seek it.

Since volunteering at Racker, a local organization that supports individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities, our chapter members have connected with some amazing individuals and we have become more motivated in our philanthropic work. Through forming these relationships, we have become more connected with Autism Speaks’ updated focus to create greater understanding and acceptance of autism. Autism Speaks updated its mission in order to best serve those touched by autism through all levels of support. This updated focus, as well as our connections with the local community, has fueled us to work hard and raise money, so that we can continue to spread this message of understanding and acceptance.
