The Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy harnesses the university’s wide-ranging expertise in public policy teaching, research and engagement into a shared academic home.

"....We can work together in new and different ways to make our world safer, healthier and more prosperous for everyone," said Dean Colleen Barry at a recent reception celebrating the school’s launch.

The newly launched Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy will help shape a better world, university leaders and the school’s inaugural dean said at a Sept. 15 reception in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall.

Provost Michael Kotlikoff announced two initiatives intended to chart the future of the social sciences at Cornell: the formation of the Cornell School of Public Policy and enhanced super-departments for scholars in the disciplines of economics, psychology and sociology.

The new school and superdepartments in economics, psychology and sociology are expected to elevate Cornell’s excellence and impact in the social sciences.
