In this article, the FIG Lab team synthesized evidence describing barriers and enablers to SNAP from 2019-2024.

For four years, our lab worked together on this project to better understand SNAP and other food assistance programs. We disseminated our findings to provide context so that scientists, practitioners, and policy makers can identify opportunities to better address food insecurity among income-eligible food assistance beneficiaries.

This publication is part of a special issue in Policy Insights from the Behavioral & Brain Sciences (PIBBS), the flagship journal for The Federation of Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences (FABBS).

Thanks to the whole team for their contributions to this work!
