Cornell University Sustainable Design (CUSD) Cornell University Sustainable Design is a student group dedicated to designing and creating sustainable projects both locally and around the world.

Cornell University Sustainable Design is a student organization dedicated to promoting education through action, empowerment, and innovation. Formerly known as Cornell’s Solar Decathlon team, CUSD has broadened its scope and is now one of Cornell’s largest and most diverse sustainability-minded organizations on campus, and is an active component of the sustainable discourse at Cornell. We utilize an interdisciplinary, research-based approach to create and enhance resilient structures in the built environment. We provide hands-on experiential learning opportunities to students through local, regional, and international design-build projects. These projects range in scale from doing small renovations to designing and building entire communities. CUSD works closely with faculty members, project stakeholders, and industry professionals in order to deliver innovative solutions and high-quality work that exceeds the expectations of our partners and project clients.

Hello! This is Anant and Emma, and we are excited to be CUSD’s new directors.
Our goal for CUSD this semester is to expand our reach, beyond Ithaca and Cornell, for sustainability impact and policy regionally and nationally.
We are so proud to have passionate and involved students on our team and cannot wait to welcome more. We are here to make this an incredible experience for all of you and hope you bring your energy for the greater good.
