2020 has brought a lot of changes to our world, and a lot of feelings to process for a lot of people. We're interested to hear about how you're feeling right now about all that's going on in the world.

We'd like to capture a snapshot of real people's real words about what they're going through, what they're thinking about, and how they're handling this year. Home | Covid Stories The novel coronavirus pandemic is an historic event of unparalleled proportions. Moreover, in many places, the pandemic is playing out against a backdrop...

Dear Diary: This Is My Life in Quarantine 08/07/2020

Hi fellow storytellers! We are now famous! I am so pleased to have our study featured in the Atlantic's recent article, "Dear diary: This is my life in quarantine." I am grateful to all of you (over 500 now!) for sharing in so many thoughtful and creative ways!

Dear Diary: This Is My Life in Quarantine Sensing that they’re living through a historic moment, many people are journaling to create a keepsake of life during the pandemic.

As of today the Telling Our Stories project is being used by 520 participants from over 30 countries and 36 US states. When we first launched we expected to run the study for a few months, thinking that the pandemic and its effects may be relatively short lived as people and governments figured out how to manage it. At this point, it is clear that this is a much longer term project than we expected since the virus remains uncontrolled (or is re-surging) in many parts of the world. Moreover, 2020 has been a year of civil, social, environmental, and political upheaval for a number of reasons entirely unrelated to Covid-19. All of these support the need for and value of the Storytelling Project. Please participate and share: https://www.covid-stories.com/

Wishing you and your loved ones health and wellbeing!

We know that everything feels a little different right now, and we'd love to hear about your COVID-19 stories.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is an historic event of unparalleled proportions. Despite the fact that we are all experiencing it together, each of us have different stories to tell about how it has affected our lives. The “Telling our stories in the age of Covid-19” project was created to give all of us place to go to share our experiences, big and little, to co-create a unique snapshot of life in the time of COVID-19. Not only does it provide a hopefully cathartic outlet for our individual experiences, it will help us all understand what happened and how we might better support people in future pandemics and other disasters.

To join the storytelling project, sign up through the project website, https://www.covid-stories.com/

Once you’ve signed up, you can add journal entries daily or simply as often as you can. The project will continue until it is clear that we are on the other side of this experience. If you are under 18 or if you do not want your entries to appear in a later publications, you can still participate and receive the e-publication we produce when we’re done.
